“I can’t understand people being afraid of new ideas – I’m afraid of the old ones.” – Abraham Lincoln

People have always been afraid to try new things. We are creatures of habit. These habits become tacit controls on our horizons and possibilities. Conversation and dialogue can become controlled by habit as well.

Try new conversations on for the sake of really discovering what makes others tick and what is meaningful to them. Stretching ourselves into new territories stretches our possibilities for progress and our capacity for human connectivity.

We must never lose sight of the fact that behind each story of the accumulation and dispersal of wealth are experiences that have shaped our clients’ thinking about money.
