Rest in your accomplishments, rich man, and pride will rest in you.

There is no rest in the pursuit of purpose. We only have so many days and the wise in heart know to “number those days.” If we’re looking backward for affirmation we enter a slippery slope where we are pointing to our former selves in hopes of anchoring our identity in what is past.
