I once heard a preacher say this phrase: “Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs… That’s how faith is articulated.” It stuck with me. We have no shortage of pessimists and cynics in our culture, and those who are intentional about demonstrating optimism stand out like beacons in the world.
“Optimism” is defined as “the belief that good will prevail.” If we believe that, then we should do all in our powers to prove it to be so. Meet doubts with doubt and meet beliefs with belief.
